The world begins to wither and die as a terrible drought covers the land. The people of the Chentang Pass offer everything they have as a sacrifice to the Dragon King of the Eastern Seas in an effort to save their lives and their livelihoods. However, their efforts to appease the powerful lord are insufficient. Ne Zha, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King's son, realizes that the only way to save the people he loves is to destroy the evil forces that are to blame for this terrible drought as he watches the world turn to dust.
